The Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition was established within the Faculty of Agriculture at Eskişehir Osmangazi University following a decision by the Council of Higher Education on 19 January 2011, numbered 606. The department currently employs one professor, two associate professors and one Dr. Faculty member.

The undergraduate programme is not yet operational. The Master of Science (MA) programme commenced in February 2016.
